Distressing news from South East Asia keep coming as the Philippines tries to recover from the disaster that the recent typhoon "Frank" brought about on the islands.

The death count for the capsized ferry, the MV Princess of the Stars, has risen to 70 as divers rescued three more bodies from the wreckage. Only 48 survivors have yet been rescued.The typhoon "Frank," internationally named "Fengshen," has killed others in various provinces, not only as a result of the capsized ship, but of floods mostly. The count has reached 291. The total fatality count has officially risent to 361. Injured persons are numbered at 166. Fatalities have been recovered from various shores in the vicinity at different towns.

The low light levels in the wreckage keep the search for survivors difficult. There are signs of more bodies inside the ferry and divers and rescuers hope to retrieve more. They are taking extra care to not cause any more dangers while cutting through the ship, afraid that they may cause the ship to sink or put the rescuers at higher risk.
