The Stone Temple Pilots, recently reunited, have been plotting an extensive tour for their U.S. festival. Fans will be happy to know that they have added a "full-fledged summer amphitheater tour" to the previously announced dates.
Final details are still being put into place but word has been going around that the STP will be playing more than 50 dates this summer until the fall. This begins with the Rock on the Range festival that will take place on the 17th and 18th of May at Ohio.
During the planned April 7 press conference, further details about this upcoming STP tour will be announced to the public. We're still unaware whether the band will be recording any new material before the shows.
The Rock on the Range event will be STP's first show sine 2002. Scott Weiland will be concluding his European tour with his post-STP band Velvet Revolver. However, he and the drummer Matt Sorum have taken their conflict into the public's eyes making the future of the band a bit shady.
